Louise Mainland

Support Group Facilitator, Aviemore
My name is Louise and I livery in Kincraig in the Cairngorm National Park with my husband Willie and 3 children, Mia, Malki and Murray and my step sons live in Inverness. I recently retrained as a swimming instructor. In November 2009 I began to run away from life after loosing our first born Malachy who was born 10 weeks early. Through volunteering, the support I have recieved and fundraising for SIMBA I now embrace life and want to support others through their journey in Malachys memory.

Valerie Callan

Support Group Facilitator, Glasgow
Valerie has been facilitating the Glasgow group since it began in June 2015. After her daughter was stillborn in 2002 she has been keen to offer support and find a safe place for other bereaved parents to speak about their children. “Attending the support group for the first time can feel a bit scary, we feel sad and cry, but we also feel happy that we can talk about our children, but I hope no one has ever left feeling they wished they hadn’t come along.”

Robert Chapman

Support Group Facilitator, Glasgow
My name is Robert Chapman and I'm a volunteer facilitator with the Glasgow SiMBA Support group. I have been a facilitator since since October 2016 after attending the groups with my partner after our daughter was born sleeping. The group is and has been for us a safe place to speak and listen to others.
