To mark the start of Baby Loss Awareness Week last year the Crichton Memorial Church in the grounds of the Crichton Trust, where our Dumfries Tree of Tranquillity is based, was lit up pink and blue.
In total over 200 landmarks were lit up Pink & Blue during Baby Loss Awareness Week and this year we would love to see even more. We know that the sooner buildings are asked to take part the better chance we have of them lighting up during the Week. So on behalf of the Baby Loss Alliance we need your help!
1. Is there a local landmark near you that could be lit up at night?
2. Could you Download the template enquiry form and find out how to contact the building.
3. Then let the Alliance know which buildings you have contacted by completing this short form with the result of your request and email .
Ideally we would ask the buildings / landmarks to light up for the whole of Baby Loss Awareness Week – 9th through to 15th October, but they can also just illuminate just from 7-9pm on the 15th of October as part of the global Wave of Light.
If a building / landmark can help please email firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know so that we can say a personal thank you from SiMBA too.
There's more information on lighting up pink and blue on the Alliance Website here : Pink & Blue – Baby Loss Awareness Week (babyloss-awareness.org)
Thank you for helping to make a difference,
