We were so proud to have had 17 walkers taking part in the Dundee Virtual Kiltwalk (3-5 July), who, after a 100%  top up from the Hunter Foundation, raised an incredible £10,505.58 for SiMBA.

Each and every one of our walkers was amazing.  We had 2 larger teams taking part plus one individual walker who was 21 weeks pregnant and walked 6 miles a day, 2 walkers who tossed a coin to each other as they walked 13 miles, and a walker who worked a night shift then continued to walk extra steps during the day to make up her 26 mile goal!

They all wore a bit of tartan as they walked, and even though the sun didn’t shine, it didn’t stop them shining for SiMBA and completing their challenges in style with big smiles all round. Every participant received a free “hot off the press” SiMBA snood as a thank you from the charity too!

Heather, SiMBA’s Fundraising Assistant, who supported our fundraisers said: “I would definitely say all our walkers were fantastic and went above and beyond to raise a remarkable amount for SiMBA. I am very excited to support everyone who is taking part in the Virtual Kiltwalk over the weekend of the 11-13 September, I think it’s going to be bigger and better than anything we’ve ever done before.”

The Coronavirus Pandemic has had a devastating effect on our charity and has seen the demand for our Memory Boxes and on-line support groups continue to increase, whilst our fundraising and donation levels have dramatically dropped.

Now, more than ever we need your help. We know that we have some incredible supporters out there and we want to encourage and inspire you to take part in The Virtual Kiltwalk Weekend for SiMBA!

You choose your challenge and anything goes! You can walk, cycle, jump, or even organise a family scavenger hunt, all you have to do is wear a wee bit of tartan.

We want to hear all about your fundraising and the challenges that you set too. From the second you sign up right through to the weekend of the 11th September, we want you to join our ‘Fundraising Together for SiMBA’ Facebook group and get posting on your social media.

We’d love you to stand out too so we’ll send the first 75 people who register and fundraise a FREE SiMBA snood to wear when you complete your challenge.

There’s just 3 steps to sign up :
