This image shows the artists impression for the new design, for the room that could be available for families with your help.
We are currently working on 5 Family Room Projects in; Borders General Hospital, Simpsons in the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary; St John's Hospital in Livingston; Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley and the Princess Royal Maternity Hospital in Glasgow and we want to look at more in the future.
Family Rooms are provided within maternity units to offer parents an opportunity to spend precious time with, and prepare to say goodbye to, their baby in peaceful and private accommodation. They are ideally positioned away from the main wards but with maternity staff and medical facilities on hand. Family members and friends may also visit if desired.
BUT TO COMPLETE THESE PROJECTS WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We have been promoting the Kiltwalk over the last few weeks as they are our main fundraising focus for 2018. We are aiming to have at least 250 supporters walking for SiMBA across all 4 Kiltwalks; Glasgow. Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh. Imagine joining a sea of SiMBA walkers, all walking together to raise awareness and support bereaved families.
Did you know that the Hunter Foundation will top up all funds raised by 40% so every £100 raised = £140 for SiMBA and just by entering to take part you will be entered into a draw to win a brand new
All funds raised will be split between SiMBA and the Lola Commons Fund for SiMBA to help to fund our vital services and these incredible Family Room Projects.
