SiMBA Butterfly Release is a special event that brings families together to honour babies in a gentle and meaningful way. Before the pandemic, during the summer months we held Butterfly Releases at our Tree of Tranquillity sites and at some of our support group locations. SiMBA Butterfly Releases are where we come together to listen to music, songs, readings and poems and a poignant part of our service is when families and those close to them release butterflies to honour their babies. After each service there is time to talk openly with other bereaved families, health care professionals and members of the SiMBA team.

As we can’t hold our Butterfly Releases this year we are organising a virtual Butterfly Release which will be a short non-denominational service similar to our participation events. There will be introductions and poems, music from Elinor Evans and Little Voices Big Stars Choir and as part of this event we would like to create a display of all our babies' names.

To share your baby’s name with us just complete the form below. You can also create your own butterfly and share it with us using #VirtualButterflyRelease over the weekend of the 19th / 20th June.

The Virtual Butterfly Release will be premiered on our Facebook page at 3pm on Saturday 19th June. Although we cannot meet in person, we are excited to be holding this event for the very first time and we hope that you can join us.
