SiMBA are committed to offering you support when you need it. During the pandemic, we cancelled all of our face-to-face and community Support Groups, which were held across Scotland from Galashiels to Stornoway and introduced in their place the SiMBA Safe Space Support Groups, each facilitated by at least 2 volunteer support group facilitators.
Our SiMBA Safe Space support groups are your place to talk openly with others who can relate to your grief and how you are feeling. It's your Safe Space to talk about your baby or the friend / family member or colleague who you may be supporting through their grief. You can join on your own, or with someone else from your household and you can choose whether to chat or just listen and whether to show your video or not.
We also have Closed Facebook Support Groups that you are welcome to join for Men Only, Grandparents, and those who wish to share their babies’ photos. The groups are available 24 hours a day, giving you access when you need it.
If you feel that you need more support or help outwith our support group times then you can also contact
Child Bereavement UK Helpline - 0800 02 888 40 (Freephone. Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm) or the Samaritans on 116 123 (anytime day or night).
The listing, to the right, shows the virtual support groups that we have running and details of how to join. If you'd like to join any group please remember to email : email@example.com at least 4 hours before your chosen groups start time to allow us time to send you the link to join.
