The Inverness Tree of Tranquility was installed in July 2012 and forms the stunning centerpiece of the beautiful ‘Memory Garden’ area within the Botanic Gardens.

Please note that the gardens will close on Friday 23rd of December and re-open again on Wednesday 4th January at 10am.

Normal opening hours : Monday - Sunday: 10:00 - 16:00

The Inverness Tree of Tranquillity has attracted considerable interest from the press, television and of course, from our many visitors. We would like to thank Inverness Botanic Gardens for their on-going help and support.

The tree has been created in response to the needs of parents that have lost a baby at any stage of pregnancy or close to the time of birth. Leaves can be personally engraved and added and so the tree shall effectively ‘grow.’ The tree is not just for the recently bereaved but for those who sadly lost their baby years ago.

P
lease note that t
here are hand sanitisers dotted around the gardens, and the Tropical House is still closed, but the Cacti House is open (face coverings are needed inside). The café is open too, with a larger outside seating area and table service at the moment.
